An LLC in Russia may be established by a foreigner remotely, without his or her direct presence. To register a company in Russia, a foreign citizen needs to sign an application in Form No. P11001, as well as a power of attorney for representatives in Russia to submit documents.
These documents must be signed in the presence of an employee of the Russian consulate. If the documents are certified by a foreign notary, an apostille must also be affixed.
The foreign citizen will also need to sign a resolution on the establishment of the company - it does not need to be certified by a notary or consulate.
It should be noted that documents produced on the territory of a foreign state and drawn up in the language of the relevant foreign state must be accompanied by a Russian translation certified by a Russian notary.
